Asterix Refoundation: The Grand Collection
Well, we knew if would happen one day. Either next month or sometime next year depending where you live new editions of Asterix the Gaul, Sickle, Actress and Class Act are going to have 8 new pages and 1 and 2 will have new covers. Next year we get Goths and All at Sea. This is so cool. It was annouced on Missive No. 63 but it's not on the site yet. So here's the one from DoubleClix's blog: http://www.doubleclix-blog.com/index.ph ... ouring-for
I can't wait for it to come to Britian!!!

When I had them in my hands last thursday (december 7) in a small comic bookshop in Antibes I thought they were just reprints in a slightly larger size.
Because they were sealed and I assumed they did not contain any extra pages I did not ask the shopowner if I could take a look inside.
I only noticed that they had a special sales price of 14.90 euro until the end of december 2006.
Cheers Idefiks.

FYI,
I had the opportunity to look at the content of the "special"
Asterixx books in German and noticed the following:
The last two pages show a map of the world with pictograms
of translations over the related language
The maps are different for each album (I checked the Gaul
and the Sickle). I did not have my database with me to check
is they caught all (legal) translations.
Cheers, Huub.

The official Asterix site has a Translation Exchange, where they have a really nice interactive map of the world with translations for each separate book. The selection of covers is restricted by what they have. E.g., Asterix the Gaul is missing in Norwegian, Bulgarian, Czech, Estonian and in Greek. (For the rest you should check yourself. I wonder about which are in the book.)Idefiks hat geschrieben:The last two pages show a map of the world with pictograms of translations over the related language
Nevertheless, the map is very nicely done.

I'll also be very happy if I have them
Hello everybody,
This is my first contribution to this superb forum. I'm an asterix fan for almost 20 years and I really love my collection of asterix books and movies :)
I'd like to say that I'm aware of la grande collection, and I'd be very happy if I have them, unfortunately all the last asterix books have not arrived to my country (Chile), starting from Asterix et la reentrée galouise
Anyway, now I have enough money to buy them through internet so I'll be sure to buy them when they get out :)
Thanks to everybody for this marvelous forums. It's because all of you that this resource is so valuable for asterix fans like me :)
